A meet and greet at Downtown Pups is a required 5-hour trial visit to ensure your dog is a good fit for our daycare environment. During this time, we assess their temperament, play style, and comfort level in our facility while they enjoy supervised socialization and rest breaks.
Day Boarding

Day boarding at Downtown Pups provides a safe and comfortable environment for your dog to stay while you're away for the day. Unlike traditional daycare, day boarding offers a structured routine with individual rest periods in a cozy space, along with potty breaks and supervised socialization. It’s perfect for dogs who need a quieter setting, prefer human interaction over group play, or just need a place to relax while you’re at work or running errands.

River Play Adventure – $15
Give your pup a break from the ordinary with our River Play add-on—an exciting off-site adventure designed to satisfy their wild side! 🐾🌊
This enrichment experience includes a short car ride with our trained staff to a nearby river, where your dog will enjoy 20+ minutes of safe, supervised exploration on a 15–30 ft lead. They’ll splash in the water, sniff along the shoreline, and take in all the new sights and scents nature has to offer.
Whether your pup loves to paddle or just stroll through the shallows, River Play is the perfect combo of exercise, sensory stimulation, and outdoor fun. It’s especially great for high-energy dogs or those who love a good field trip.

Sensory Walks - $10
We are pleased to introduce our Sensory Walks service, now available as an optional enhancement to our daycare and boarding offerings. For a nominal fee of $10, your canine companion can partake in an enriching nature & city walk along the Downtown area.
Understanding the importance of olfactory stimulation in a dog's daily life, our Sensory Walks are designed to engage your pet's senses and provide a wealth of enriching experiences. Sniffing is a critical means through which dogs gather and process information, allowing them to interpret the world around them.
Our carefully curated route takes us through downtown Hopewell, culminating in a visit to City Park. We will accommodate your dog's curiosity, allowing for ample "sniff stops" at locations they find intriguing. The journey is tailored to your pet's pace and interest.
